Loving Community: Practicing Solidarity and Connection

🌟 Loving Community Workshops: Tailored for Your Journey 🌟

We’re offering two distinct versions of the Loving Community Workshop to meet participants where they are in their allyship journeys and address specific dynamics in racial justice work:

For White Allies:
This workshop focuses on understanding and dismantling whiteness, privilege, and anti-Blackness. White participants will explore how to build accountable, loving relationships with Black communities by challenging internalized superiority, practicing accountability, and moving beyond shame-based allyship toward transformative solidarity.

For Non-Black People of Color (POC):
This session centers on how anti-Blackness operates within POC communities and the ways it harms both Black and non-Black POC. Participants will reflect on internalized biases, explore the impact of anti-Blackness across communities, and develop actionable strategies to build solidarity while addressing unique dynamics of proximity to whiteness.

💡 Both Workshops Include:

  • Teachings inspired by bell hooks and adrienne maree brown.

  • Practical tools for allyship and accountability.

  • Creative and reflective exercises to envision loving, inclusive communities.

Feedback from past participants:

“This workshop is perfect and necessary for white people to take especially now. If you are white, and ready to move beyond social media posts and want to learn actionable steps to take into your everyday life to support Black people and the liberation of everyone, you need this workshop.”

“Tuesday has lovingly and thoughtfully created a workshop that is relevant to all White folks who want to show up for systemically undervalued folks, especially Black folks. I learned how to show up genuinely, compassionately, authentically, and with accountability. This workshop has set me on a path of continued growth and for this I will be forever grateful to the gift that Tuesday has offered.”

“Anyone interested in having vulnerable conversations about race, white supremacy culture, and the many nuances of how to navigate them to make positive change in the world will benefit from this course immensely. Tuesday shared a wealth of knowledge, along with many recommended books, authors, and even Netflix documentaries, to help us take our learning further. The sense of community that was built among this cohort in just 3-4 hours was fantastic and encouraging to see.”
